Bastille’s “Doom Days” Lyrics Meaning

And in response to the latter, he has decided to seek an escape from contemporary addictions, most expressly the overuse of his phone. In fact he sarcastically refers to the internet-based, electronic-media realm as the “real world” and “real life”, once again alluding the pervasive of its usage. And he has decided that, if only for a night, he wants to spend some quality time with his woman in the form focusing exclusively on their direct-personal interactions. Indeed even as he beholds the outside world, in his opinion, collapsing, it is thoughts of her which dominate his mind.
