“Big Energy” by Latto

The title of this song (“Big Energy”) is actually an abbreviated form of the phrase “big d**k energy”, which does appear in the chorus. And that expression doesn’t actually mean that a guy has a larger-than-average manhood but rather that he is extremely confident in himself.

However, based on said terminology, the size of his c**k would have something to do with his high level of confidence, and accordingly this song is primarily sexually based, i.e. the vocalist addressing a romantic interest via lyrics which are mostly and explicitly about sex.

Outside of that, Latto has clarified that “Big Energy” is also meant to serve as an ode to women who exude a high level of confidence. And such a sentiment does briefly come through in the pre-chorus, whereas she advises the “bad b**ches” – i.e. those with a “pretty face, no waist and a big ol’ ass” – to use what their momma gave them to “get money” from guys.

So with that in mind, Latto also encourages her materialistic sistren to shun “broke n**gas”. And conclusively, a song like this with NSFW sexual references, inducements to milk men and a vocalist who believes she is extremely attractive and exceptional in bed is basically a standard contemporary female rap song.
