Florida Georgia Line’s “Blessings” Lyrics Meaning

Whereas Florida Georgia Line’s “Blessings” is premised on the idea of the singer expressing a general feeling of thankfulness, more specifically he is especially appreciative for his wife. That is to say that he feels she is an exceptional human being that was ‘made just for him’. And he considers himself extremely fortunate to be able to call her his spouse.

This idea is intertwined with ideas such as she introducing him to an infallible feeling of optimism, as well as their relationship indeed being prosperous. Or the way he poetically phrases the situation, it is easy for him to ‘count his blessings’ considering the many positives this lady has brought into this life.

However, he concludes the track by once again pointing back to its general meaning. And what’s the song’s general meaning? It is basically admonishing the listener to be thankful for the “blessings” he or she has been bestowed with.
