“Happiness” by McFly

McFly’s “Happiness” provides a clear description of the excitement people often feel at the early stage of a romantic relationship when they are deeply in love with their significant other.

The narrator at a point expresses disbelief at the fact that he could actually feel this way and wants this joyous state to never end.

Though he doesn’t think he deserves to be with this person, he is going to do just one thing. And that is to embrace the moment and try to maintain it as much as he can.

Produced by Grammy-winning singer and producer Jason Perry, “Happiness” happens to be the first track released from McFly’s “Young Dumb Thrills” album. And by the way, said album is the band’s sixth studio album.

“Happiness” came out in July 2020 as an official single from the aforementioned project.

All four members of the band contributed writing to “Happiness”.

Prior to “Happiness”, the last single the band released as McFly was in 2013.
