“Invincible” by Pop Smoke

This track is based on the concept of Pop Smoke feeling “invincible”. And according to the way it plays out in the lyrics, this sensation manifests itself by him feeling exceptionally-brave shall we say. Perhaps, as the intro suggests, this bravado is partially based on the fact that he is high.

But generally speaking this track comes off as the type of ode to the wild type of lifestyle which Pop Smoke tends to espouse in most, if not all, of his songs.  For instance, as is his standard there are numerous references to gunplay, including Pop asserting that he would “shoot at any opp”. And along those lines he gives a shoutout to the street gang he was affiliated with, the infamous Crips.

Additionally, there are allusions the vocalist’s wealth, including his willingness to spend more than a pretty penny on his significant other. He also recognizes a couple of intoxicants he enjoys.

And all things considered this is in fact a braggadocios ode, with the rapper exclaiming numerous ways in which he, in the very least in his own opinion, is indeed the man. Smoke is basically idealizing money, women and thugism. And having access to all of these in abundance has made him feel extra-confident or even “invincible”.
