And as the song progresses, it becomes clear to the listener that the addressee and Natalie might currently no longer be together. However, it’s not made crystal clear how her romance with the addressee came to this point.

This song makes me cry, cos I kinda relate it to the emptiness I feel since my brother passed on. It has a whole different meaning to me. We had to let him go in death although we wanted him to be very much around. But we had to surrender to the will of God, we surrendered to his death. We take solace in the fact that he is no longer in pains and that cancer / kidney failure has no grip on his body anymore. He won them totally. We miss u so much Kingsley Jnr. This song has meant so much to me. My parents died tragically when I was 6 and I am then living by myself all the way to 14, then moving to my grandparents house. They died a year after my parents did, and I was by myself until I could work and pay for my own house. I haven’t been to college yet, sitting here at 21. I didn’t go to school for the last two years of college, its upsetting.
