“Plan B” by Megan Thee Stallion

Some readers of course would recognize “Plan B” as being the colloquial name of a popular form of birth control known as the Morning-After Pill. And the one time Megan Thee Stallion does use that term is in the first verse to point to such an idea, i.e. she opting to utilize said drug in the name of not letting the addressee impregnate her. Or as otherwise explained, she does not want to be ‘stuck with him’.

So with that in mind, the listener already has the gist of this song, as in the addressee being a romantic interest and on top of that one whom the vocalist is not overly fond of. But more specifically, who is being addressed is an ex-boyfriend. This is a person who has turned Megan off to the point where she’s now questioning why she ever got involved with him in the first place.

Indeed as she presents the situation, it’s like he got ‘hood famous off of her, now being in a position where other women are interested in him due to his history with Thee Stallion. And Megan is convinced that some of these same “b–ches”, i.e. her rivals, may be dating her ex just to piss her off. So it’s like now the vocalist’s former sweetheart is looking like a total fool in her eyes.

And to make a long story short, it becomes blatantly clear that Megan feels used by her ex and that this tirade is founded in a real-life experience. That’s how it is sometimes with boss chicks like her. A run-of-the-mill dude would come along, become a “real n–ga” off of her accomplishments and then show her his a-s.

In Conclusion

So Thee Stallion is advising her sistren to instead prioritize money over romance.  And that would be because under her estimation, men are untrustworthy.  So even though she is not forsaking dating or sex in the name of protecting her heart and pride, the vocalist is basically letting current and future romantic interests know that if they displease her in even the slightest, such individuals will be expeditiously replaced.
