In the chorus, Denzel talks about his dad teaching him not to trust anyone but his own brothers. His father also taught him to always be there for his brothers and respect women by treating them like his mother. How did Denzel Curry’s brother die?
Treon Johnson (Curry’s brother) died in March 2014 from injuries he sustained after a violent encounter with police while resisting arrest. During the encounter, he was not only pepper sprayed but also tasered by the officers. According to Curry, the injuries caused him to die from a cardiac arrest. Johnson was only 27 years old at the time of his sudden death.
