SZA is the professional moniker of American singer and songwriter Solána Imani Rowe. She was born in the state of Missouri in November 1989. However, she grew up in the New Jersey township called Maplewood.

The singer started making professional music during the early 2010s, and established herself as a star through her 2017 debut album “Ctrl”. Her follow-up album, which she released in 2022, earned her more fame and success. It marked her first #1 hit in the US. In addition, the project peaked at #2 in the UK.  

As a songwriter, she has worked with several of music’s big names including contributing to the penning of the 2014 song “Feeling Myself”, performed by  Nicki Minaj alongside Beyonce.
