“WTF Do I Know” by Miley Cyrus

“WTF Do I Know” is seemingly addressed to the singer’s ex, and that is the way it has generally been interpreted. But it’s also pretty obvious that there’s more going on here. That is to say that Miley is also addressing a wider audience. And to make a long story short, what she is saying is that she doesn’t really care what anyone thinks of her.  Yes, someone like her is under constant analysis. And in the lyrics her ex is serving as a symbol of those who sweat her, so to speak. But Cyrus is not privy to being pressured into living up to someone else’s expectations.

Indeed as she is asserting in the title, she doesn’t consider herself to be a “hero” or any type of enlightened individual or role model. And she is expressing such sentiments while simultaneously touting her independence.

This is a song Miley Cyrus wrote with Ali Tamposi, Ryan Tedder and the producers, Watt and Louis Bell.

This track is part of the playlist of Miley Cyrus’s 2020 project, “Plastic Hearts”. In fact it is the opening song of the project, and it was released by RCA Records on 27 November 2020.
