Meaning of “16 Lines” by Lil Peep

“16 Lines” highlights a chapter in Lil Peep’s life where he is mulling over a relationship he has with a woman he loves. And this romance is anything but ideal. For instance, Peep questions the loyalty of his chick. He also strongly doubts that she genuinely cares about him. Furthermore, he brings up issues from the past that apparently molded him into a person who can handle such emotional strain on his own. But he also resorts to external solutions for the remedy, which are his “16 Lines”.

It is not crystal clear the meaning of the 16 lines he’s referring to. However it could mean any of two things. First, it could be the amount of drug he needs to take in order to “feel fine”.  Second, it can also be interpreted as a reference to the 16 lines of the chorus of the song, as in writing raps also makes him feel better.
