“AYA” by Mamamoo
On “AYA” the members of Mamamoo is collectively addressing an ex. More specifically it is an ex that they still have beef with. And two aspects of their relationship with this person are pretty obvious. One is that they did not part ways under the best of terms. And secondly is that there are still some lingering bad feelings. And it is that latter sentiment which the singers are lamenting. They are stuck in a situation whereas they have yet to get over a toxic relationship. And the process of doing so is proving more painful than they would prefer.
AYA was written by Mamamoo member Moonbyul along with Ki Do Hoon and Lee Sang Ho. And the latter two artists also produced the track alongside Mingkey.
This track is featured on a ‘mini album’ (i.e. EP) Mamamoo came out with on 3 November 2020 entitled Travel. And the label behind the project is Seoul-based Rainbow Bridge World.
