Since their breakup she has obviously moved on with her life, getting involved with another man.  Indeed the lyrics imply that she may even now be married. But once again, he still has feelings for her.  In fact the chorus is centered on Tiller reminding her of all the sacrifices he has made in their romance.  And the song’s singular verse opens with Bryson entreating her to definitively let him know if he still has a chance to regain her love.

The title of this song is derived from the fact that Tiller is accepting all of the blame for their relationship going awry. He concludes by stating that the only way he may be able to get over his feeling for her is by ‘burying’, as in supplanting, them. But at the same time, it seems as if he is still looking for a shimmer of hope that somehow things between them can be resolved.
