“Coffin” by Jessie Reyez (ft. Eminem)

“Coffin” is the title of a song performed by singer Jessie Reyez and rap superstar Eminem. The lyrics in essence center on two people (Jessie and Eminem) who happen to be dangerously or rather unhealthily in love with each other. One minute they are at each other’s throats and the next they are showering each other with so much love.

Their relationship is highly toxic. However, in the midst of this toxicity, they love each other other death. And this is why Jessie is ready to get a coffin for the two of them.

And from the looks of things, it is highly likely this love they share would lead them both into early graves.

In penning this song, Em and Reyez teamed up with two other songwriters (Priest and Bizness Boi). The latter two also produced the song with Eminem.

This song is officially the third time Eminem and Reyez worked together on a song. Prior to this, they had collaborated on the songs “Good Guy” and “Nice Guy”. Both songs were featured on Eminem’s “Kamikaze” album of 2018.

“Coffin” was released officially on Friday, the 27th of March, 2020. It is a part of Jessie’s 2020 album titled “Before Love Came to Kill Us”.
