“Last Man Standing” by Bruce Springsteen

Like many singers who have gone on to have successful solo careers, Bruce Springsteen actually traces his professional beginnings back to being the member of a band. Said group was known as The Castiles. And in 2018 the only surviving member of the crew besides Springsteen, George Theiss, passed away. As such, the Boss now finds himself as the “last man standing” from the group. And accordingly this song serves as a tribute to The Castiles and is a must-listen for anyone who wants to know what Bruce and his buddies went through before the Boss blew up.

And Springsteen also takes more of an introspective approach, asking for providence from On High to enable him to remain “standing”.

Bruce Springsteen wrote this track and also produced it, in the latter regard working alongside Ron Aniello.

“Last Man Standing” can be found on Bruce’s 20th standard album, “Letter to You”, which is a product of Columbia Records.
