Meaning of “Luke 2:8-10” by Tyler Childers

“Luke chapter 2 verse 8 through 10” is quoted in the intro of this song. That’s the part of the Jesus story when an angel appeared to a group of shepherds to announce Jesus’s forthcoming birth. However, Tyler is referencing that event to rather point to the prophesied Second Coming.

In other words, he’s obviously one of those types of people who believes “the end of the world”, as foretold in the Bible, is imminent. And as such, inspired by that aforementioned angel if you will, it’s as if the Childers is sounding his own alarm concerning that prophecy via this song.
