Alecia Beth Moore, best known in the entertainment industry as Pink, began performing as a singer when she was a teenager. At the age of 14 years, she auditioned and joined the group known as ‘Basic Instinct’. However, her breakthrough came two years later when she, together with Chrissy Conway and Sharon Flanagan, formed a music group known as ‘Choice’. She later earned a contract with the LaFace Records label which helped her to start her career as a solo artiste. In 2000, she released her maiden R&B-inspired studio album under the name “Can’t Take Me Home”. The compilation contained a number of hit singles such as “There You Go” and “Most Girls”.

By the end of 2019, she had released eight studio albums including “Beautiful Trauma” and “Hurts 2B Human”. In 2002, she organized her first headlining music concert titled “Party Tour”. Some of her other tours are dubbed “The Funhouse Summer Carnival” and “Beautiful Trauma World Tour”. She has also worked with some renowned record labels such as Legacy, and RCA Records.

Her unique appearance has also made her one of the cherished artistes in the United States. The singer is known for her flamboyant costumes and adventurous hairstyles. She is the daughter of Judith and James Moore. She got married to Carey Hart, a professional racer, in 2006, but separated two years later before reuniting in 2010. Her children are named Willow Sage and Jameson Moon.

Over the years, Pink had been an active voice for animal rights. This has seen her work with some notable organizations such as PETA. In line with this, she organized a musical concert dubbed “Party for Animals Worldwide” (PAW) in 2007. She has also worked with other nonprofit groups such as New York Restoration Project, Save the Children, UNICEF, and Human Rights Campaign.
