Nicki describes the guy she’s crushing over, highlighting his physical features, his aura and even his pockets, while affirming that he’s the kind of guy she has been looking for. She warns other ladies to stay off, stressing on the fact that she’s confident enough to get the guy or as she puts it, to mack up the dude.

Aside her flirtatious lines, the narrator confesses her love to this guy by saying that he makes her heart beat faster than it should. She expresses that this man has control over her heart, and the effect it creates is similar to the thundering sound produced by a bass-heavy sub woofer.

Apparently, she loves this guy so dearly that her heart literally beats as loud as a bass drum, as she conveys the effect of the sound with the words “Boom Badoom”. In the end, Nicki tells this guy how she needs him in her life and pleads with him not to go away because she is in love with him.
