Meaning of “Big Boots” by Alice Cooper

“Big Boots” isn’t a love song, but it is romantic in nature, i.e. detailing Alice’s random interaction with what reads more or less like a groupie, i.e. a woman fascinated with his touring lifestyle.

All things considered, even though he goes about admiring “her feet” in the first verse, that likely isn’t what the singer is referring to by noting that “she got big boots” in the chorus. That is to say that earlier, he also remarks that she “was a goddess from the bottom to the top”. So those “big boots” are probably referring to another part of her body, such as her boobies for instance.

The lyrics don’t go on to specify whether the two of them proceeded to actually get it on or not. What they’re more focused on is the subject’s attraction to Alice. But she does let Cooper know, in a subliminal sort of way, that if he’s interested in bonking, on his tour bus at that, that she is down for the cause. And all sentiments considered, he probably didn’t turn down the offer.

“She got big boots, baby got boots

The song may also be Alice Cooper’s “Lola.”

He delivers “her” name early in the song with a jolly camp “stripper name” snark and makes it clear she ain’t getting a ride on his bus…

She’s showing off the hair and the face and the chest but he’s not able to get past staring at the big boots…

“And you know what they say about big boots…”

    Yeah…

    In the American song tradition…

It takes a man to wear big boots.

    Literally…

From the song “Big Boots” by Elvis the Pelvis.

    She’s not. In other words.
