“I’m Gonna Let Her” by Cole Swindell
“I’m Gonna Let Her” is an uncomplicated love song, which lyrically focuses on the sweet little intricacies of, shall we say shacking up with that special someone. Premise-wise, the thesis sentiment is based on the addressee’s desire to get ever closer to the singer. And yes, said addressee would be his afore-referenced lover.
And as indicated by the title, the vocalist is not going to put up any type of resistance whatsoever as far as his sweetheart’s romantic ambitions are concerned. Instead he’s going to let her do her thing, as in the process she is edifying his life via her love. Or put differently, as elucidated in the chorus and bridge, he is allowing her to proceed forward, most simply put, as if the two of them are spouses or are headed in that direction.
