Celine may have been speaking of a metaphoric death, probably an emotional shutdown, or she could have been literally speaking of a time in coma where her partner waited for her till she recovered. She mentions Catatonia, a state of unresponsiveness, which is a syndrome caused by depression. Either way, the singer extends her appreciation to her lover for taking care of her and loving her till she recovered.

She further adds that it is due to her partner’s love that she was able to come alive. He did not leave her or give up on her despite her depressed condition, but continued to love and cherish her. For this, Celine appears extremely grateful for the love, and the fact that now that she is back to normal, they can be together once again.
