“Munch (Feelin’ U)” by Ice Spice

Ice Spice’s “Munch (Feelin’ U)” is the type of outing we’ve come to expect from most popular female rappers of late, one in which the vocalist uses the opportunity to boast her superiority over rivals of the same sex.

You can view the lyrics, alternate interprations and sheet music for Ice Spice's Munch (Feelin’ U) at Lyrics.org.

And what that means in context is Ice Spice touting the notion that she is more attractive, better in bed and has a much larger bankroll. Or putting that all together, it can be said that she is able to use men as she pleases. This is actually more or less the theme of this entire piece.

Meaning of “Munch (Feelin’ U)”

It seems that Ice Spice is really about that life, as the title for instance may give the initial impression that this is a love song. But to the contrary a “munch”, in holistic context, is a reference to a guy whom the rapper is able to easily exert her will upon.

The term “feeling you”, as presented in its entirety in the chorus, isn’t a statement but rather a question. And as relayed it is as if such ‘munches’, while being used by Spice, are concurrently under the impression that she actually likes them. But she’s asserting that “nah” – instead she’s more along the lines of being on the playa sh*t.

And in the vocalist’s defense, there isn’t anywhere in this song where she states forthrightly that she uses guys for money, even if Spice prefers men with “a beam”, which may be a reference to ‘a beem’, as in a BMW.

So another way the lyrics can be interpreted is as the vocalist being the romantically-cautious type, i.e. not privy to just giving herself away like that. So then, as implied, if a romantic interest persists, he may find himself being used solely for sex (of the oral variety) and then unceremoniously sent on his way.

“You thought I was feelin you? (Nah)
That ni–a a munch
Ni–a a eater, he ate it for lunch
Bi–h, I’m a baddie I get what I want, like”
