Sade recalls that she gave this person her total devotion, and loved him with every fiber of her being. She further mentions that he took advantage of her love, yet refused to love her back. The narrator then questions herself as to why she did not heed to the earlier warnings that their love won’t last.

She goes on to express that amidst his unfair treatment towards her, she is still sad that they cannot be together because she believes that the love she has is not a mere ordinary feeling. Her sorrow is mainly because this person brought a lot of joy into her life.

Conclusion

In all, “No Ordinary Love” captures the sadness a person has to deal with when the one he/she is truly in love with doesn’t feel the same way.
