In this song, we see the singer lament over a broken relationship. Apparently, she loved her partner deeply yet ended up being hurt by him.

The narrator then questions herself as to why she did not heed to the earlier warnings that their love won’t last.
She goes on to express that amidst his unfair treatment towards her, she is still sad that they cannot be together because she believes that the love she has is not a mere ordinary feeling. Her sorrow is mainly because this person brought a lot of joy into her life.
