One of Smith’s earliest successes in the industry came in 2012 when the singer collaborated with electronic music duo Disclosure on their hit song, “Latch”.  Two years later, Smith went on to release their debut record titled “In the Lonely Hour”. This project proved to be a huge success for the singer, as it landed at No.1 on UK’s official album charts and reached No.2 in the US.

Smith’s second album, “The Thrill of It All”, turned out to be a greater commercial success than its predecessor. It attained the No.1 spot on main album charts in both the US and the UK.

Grammy Awards

In 2015 Smith won four out of six nominations at the Grammys including being named “Best New Artist”. One of their other accolades was for their debut album, which was named “Best Pop Vocal Album”.
