“Sweet Melody” by Little Mix
Little Mix’s “Sweet Melody” is actually about a romantic interest from the narrator’s past. What its title alludes to is the fact that he is a musician who used to “sing… sweet melodies” to her. But more to the central theme of the narrative is that he basically used his musical talents and charm to deceive her. In other words he made like he was genuinely in love, but his cheating ways proved otherwise. So at the end of the day their relationship dissolved, and it became impossible for the vocalist to continue to enjoy his style, including his “sweet melodies”.
Being released on 23 October 2020, this track serves as the third single from Little Mix’s album “Confetti”. It was teased by the band a few days earlier, on 19 October. And the labels behind the tune are RCA Records and Columbia Records.
