“Caramelo Duro” by Miguel (featuring Kali Uchis)

Anyone familiar with Miguel’s album “War & Leisure”, from which this track (“Caramelo Duro”) is derived, knows that it features songs such as “Banana Clip” whose lyrics metaphorically allude to hot sex. And so it is with “Caramelo Duro”, a track whose title translates to “hard candy”.

So what we are met with in these lyrics is the mention of various candy brands and other such lingo related to the enjoyment of sweets. As such, the wording for the most part isn’t actually raunchy. But any mature adult would be able to ascertain that when a singer like Miguel mentions “hard candy” in relation to romance, then most likely what he would be referring to, most simply put, is something like having an er-ction.

The bridge is the one part of the song, if you understand Spanish, in which it becomes more blatantly obvious that what is being referred to here is in fact a “dirty” kind of sweetness.

The first single, “Sky Walker”, was issued on August 24 2017. This song, which is the biggest track on the album, features vocals from American rapper Travis Scott.
