British Singer and songwriter Labrinth.

Labrinth (born Timothy Lee McKenzie) is an award-winning English singer, rapper, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and music producer whose critically acclaimed debut single titled Let the Sun Shine was released in September 2010. He went on to release other famous songs such as Earthquake, Beneath Your Beautiful with Emeli Sandé and Pass Out with rapper Tinie Tempah.

  • He was born in London, England on January 4, 1989 and grew up with eight siblings, all of whom pursued careers in the music industry at some points of their lives.
  • He and his eight siblings once played in a short-lived band called Mac 9.
  • At the age of 15, one of his brothers taught him how to create music in the studio.
  • In a 2014 interview with the Independent newspaper, he revealed that he suffers from an addiction to buying musical instruments.
  • Throughout his career, Labrinth has worked with several prominent artists such as Rihanna, The Weeknd, Tinie Tempah, Ed Sheeran, Emeli Sandé and Usher.
  • In 2010, renowned British music mogul Simon Cowell signed him as a solo act to his label Syco Music, thereby making him become one of the few artists Cowell signed to his label without having them participate in any of his reality shows.
  • In 2012, Labrinth’s song titled Beneath Your Beautiful featuring Emeli Sandé became his first number-one single.
