Most simply explained, “Never Til Now” is based on Ashley Cooke and Brett Young celebrating the fact that they’ve found that special someone. Cooke’s character is presented as the type of wandering free spirit who never imagined that she would ever be compelled to settle down – that is until she met Young.
As for the male vocalist, it’s like his own life sucked to the point where his mind blocked out the possibility of scoring a significant other. But instead, via a chance encounter in a bar, the two narrators have indeed developed into an item, with no end to romance love in sight. So more specifically explained this is a celebration of love at first sight. Simply put, it is about a thorough smitten occurring in such a way that the parties involved never foresaw it coming.

Brett is a singer from California who, interestingly, at one point had a promising career in professional baseball. His greatest accolade as an artist thus far was being named New Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2018 edition of the Academy of Country Music Awards. That same year, he came out with an album called “Ticket to L.A.”. This album flew to number one on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.

Meanwhile, Ashley is a newer addition to the music scene. As of the release of this remix on 1 April 2022, not much is known about her. The earliest entry in her discography as a vocalist would be a late 2020 track entitled “Jealous of the Sky”. Her biggest hit to date is the original “Never Til Now”, which was released as a solo outing in mid-2021.

Ashley co-wrote this song with Matt Roy, and its producer is Jimmy Robbins. And to reiterate, this is actually a remix of the original “Never Til Now” which came out in 2021.
This track was put out by Big Loud Records, whom Ashley is currently signed to.
According to Ashley, this song not only opened several doors for her but it also significantly changed her life. For example, it gave her the amazing opportunity to collaborate with a famous singer like Brett Young. She referred to her collaboration with Brett as nothing short of a great honor.
According to Young, he heard “Never Til Now” through a good friend of his and instantly fell in love with the song. He also stated what an honor it was for him to work with Ashley on this song.
Just like the original version, this new one also met with success. For example, shortly after its release, it became one of the most streamed country songs in the month of April of 2022.
