“Savage” by Megan Thee Stallion

“Savage” is another track in which Megan Thee Stallion presents herself as a boss chick. In fact she applies the titular attribute onto herself. And when all is said and done, what it ultimately boils down to is she having somewhat of an obnoxious mean streak, so to speak. For instance, she exercises complete control over her romantic interests. And in that regard she puts forth that she is able to do so because she has a bangin’ body. Megan also depicts herself as living that street life, which includes dissing female rivals and also levying threats against men who decide they want beef with her. And one of the main reasons she is able to present herself so apparently has to do with the fact that she is indeed paid.

So succinctly put, this is a song in which Megan is touting her perceived superiority. And in terms of her being a “savage”, what that means is that despite her being “classy” and “sassy”, she can also be “moody” and “nasty”.

Facts about “Savage”

The popularity of this track has been augmented by the fact that one of Megan’s fans, Keara Wilson, started a social-media based dance craze called the #savagechallenge which is done to this song.  Thee Stallion herself picked up on the dance and promoted it. And later other celebrities, as well as the masses, also got in on the viral phenomenon. It has also been noted that this began occurring while many listeners were actually in quarantine or self-imposed isolation due to the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Megan Thee Stallion wrote “Savage” along with Bobby Sessions and the track’s producer, J. White Did It.

Warner Music released “Savage” as part of Megan Thee Stallion’s album “Suga” on 6 March 2020.

This is the sh*tt*est song ever to be on the Grammys, in such a way I can’t understand Billie Eilish saying it deserved the Record of the year Grammy other than pure sarcastic humor
