‘’That’s A Rack’’ by Lil Uzi Vert

A “Rack” is a slang term that refers to a knot of money, usually totaling $1000. And these days in the world of hip-hop, it is the most-commonly used denomination listeners are treated to. Owing to this, this track is by and large about Lil Uzi Vert’s dough, as in his ability to make racks and his willingness to spend them on high-priced items.

Another major theme is Uzi Vert’s intimate interactions with women and his general perceptions of them. Indeed this topic is even more prevalent throughout the song than his cash flow.

As such, in the chorus, Uzi gives us insight into how he treats ladies. He lets us know that he has fun with them once and then terminates the relationship. And this “no strings attach” approach is not only taken with his women but also with his racks, as in he receives his dough straight with no problems. And one of the favorite things he likes to spend this money on is “water”, as in his iced-out jewelry.

By and large, the track seldom deviates from the topics of intimacy and money. However, there are a couple of instances where other subjects are brought up, albeit briefly. For instance, he randomly threatens some dude – perhaps the boyfriend of one of the women he refers to as a “thot” – with gun violence. As if that isn’t enough, he goes on to diss him for being broke. Vert also states that he has an “addictive personality”, though he never mentions what he is addicted to. We strongly suspect that this addiction is mostly likely women and money.

Furthermore, Vert also practices some form of intimate discipline as in he “don’t f**k no fans”. But overall, as alluded to earlier, this track reads like a catalog of the type of expensive items his wealth affords him. It also looks at the lifestyle that he lives overall as a result of his money and fame.
