Brandon Lee dies while shooting “The Crow”

It should be noted that Brandon Lee (who was the son of Bruce Lee) died tragically on the set of the film “The Crow”. During a scene in which his character was to be shot, a prop gun that was supposed to be safe to fire was used.

Unbeknownst to the actors and crew, a bullet was lodged in the barrel from a previous scene. When the blank round was fired, it propelled the lodged bullet, striking Lee in the abdomen.

He was rushed to the hospital, but despite surgical attempts to save him, Lee died on March 31, 1993, at the age of 28. His death was ruled an accident, and it deeply affected the film industry, leading to changes in the handling and safety protocols of firearms on set.
