“What a Man Gotta Do” by Jonas Brothers

In Jonas Brothers’ “What a Man Gotta Do”, the narrator is addressing a romantic interest. More specifically it is someone he is smitten with to a considerable degree. This lady is the apple of his eye, and he wants to build a serious relationship with her. But he also recognizes her as someone who gets approached by guys a lot. And the implication is that as a result she may not be particularly taking him seriously.  Yet he is still willing to go all out to secure her love. And accordingly he is asking her, as the title suggest, ‘what does a man have to do’ in order to be her one and only lover. 

So basically he is trying to ascertain the most effective means of making this woman fall in love with him by inquiring from her directly how he should go about doing so. And based on the sentiment he is expressing, pretty much anything she tells him to do he will in order to achieve this romantic goal.

The Jonas Brothers teased the release of this song on 13 January 2020. And it was officially released by Republic Records as a standalone single on 17 January 2020.
