The seed that eventually grew into this feud was Lanez’s claim to being “the best rapper alive right now” and challenging any of his peers to prove him wrong on 24 January 2019. Two days later moderately-popular rapper Don Q took up the call by releasing a diss track aimed at Lanez.  To make matters worse, he went on to call Lanez “a bi*ch” for not being able to respond within 48 hours, thus initiating the attacks on his masculinity. However, shortly afterwards Lanez did respond, and “Don Queen” is the result.

This is one of the most-personal diss songs ever released on the mainstream market. Here are just a few of the accusations Torey launched against Q. He claims Don paid another popular entertainer, who he calls out by name, to sleep with her while he instead got to hit it for free. He disses the status of his more-popular labelmate, who he calls out by name also. He refers to his father as a junkie. Furthermore, he vehemently states that Q has an STD and is passing it around without informing his partners. And he claims to have received some of this private information from Q’s baby momma, which Don himself more or less confirmed before “Don Queen” even dropped. And Lanez throws perhaps the worst diss of all that you aim at a famous rapper, which is that Q doesn’t have a lot of money and as such can’t compete with him financially.

Torey concludes the track by stating that he has no intention of having a back-and-forth with Q. Yet he still goes on to say that by dissing Don he made him more famous. As if all that isn’t enough, he goes on to repeatedly Q “ugly”, referring directly to his physical appearance.
