“Take Shots” by A Boogie Wit da Hoodie (ft. Tory Lanez)
“Take Shots” can be taken as A Boogie and Tory Lanez’ version of a love song. The title is in fact a reference to boozing. And as relayed, the vocalists seem to idealize romantic interests who themselves like getting inebriated.
So basically, this piece commences more along the lines of being centered on dating but gradually and convincingly transitions into a sex song. Tory sorta lets the cat out of the bag with his verse, and A Boogie’s own that follows is more graphic in that regard than his first. So what it all boils down to is the vocalist’s preference to hook up with girls who like getting drunk, apparently because such ladies are less inhibited in bed.
