“Eediyat Skengman 2 (Stormzy Send)” by Wiley

When we last checked on the beef between Wiley and Stormzy, you can say the latter got the best of the situation via his track “Disappointed”. But it took Wiley less than 48 hours to respond with his counterattack, “Eediyat Skengman 2”. First off, he is once again using a song’s title (as he did in the first “Eediyat Skengman“) to refer to Stormzy as an ‘idiot’. But considering that the Skengman insulted members of Wiley’s family in “Disappointed”, it now has become more of a no-holds-barred kind of battle. 

Or stated differently Wiley is now going after Stormzy’s family, insulting his mother from the jump. And he goes on to threaten her throughout, including stating that he’ll invade her home and assault her if he meets her on the street. This is actually on top of also warning Stormzy that he’ll shoot up his house. And from a business perspective, Wiley is saying that the Skengman is monetarily indebted to him since he actually pioneered grime music. To a significant degree, he is implying Stormzy bit his style. 

And another aspect of this song that needs to be pointed out is that this time around Wiley brings Stormzy’s former girlfriend, “Maya” Jama, directly into the fray, stating that he’s heard a rumor tantamount to her being a loose girl.  

So in a way you can say Stormy brought this upon himself. He is the one who first introduced family members and loved ones directly into this beef. And now it seems that all bets are off.

“Eediyat Skengman 2 (Stormzy Send)” was released as a standalone single on 7 January 2020.
