“Forever After All” by Luke Combs

As you have probably already deduced from the title, “Forever After All” is a love song.  And the way Luke Combs goes about setting the stage concerning his feelings for his significant other is by highlighting certain things in life which he (and others) is fond of that have a limited lifespan. The reality of their transience points to the well-known adage that “nothing [good] things lasts forever”. But the singer is here to rebut that no, he may have in fact found something spectacular which does “last forever after all”.  And succinctly put, that would be his relationship with the addressee, i.e. the way he is enamored by her. And for the record, Luke has very well insinuated that this song is about his bride, Nicole Hocking.

Every time I hear this song, it makes me think of my wife and how I love her so much.

As always, Luke seems to find a way to say something that we’ve always known yet could not articulate like he can.
