“The Kind of Love We Make” by Luke Combs 

Luke Combs’ “The Kind of Love We Make” starts off with the vocalist implying that both he and the addressee, his significant other, are workaholics. So under his estimation, they need to set aside some quality ‘alone time’. More to the point as far as the title/chorus is concerned, Luke intends to use said opportunity to engage in some edifying lovemaking.

And this isn’t only about the singer being able to recognize that he and his lady need a break but furthermore being smitten by the beauty of the addressee on this particular day.  So it’s as if he is able to further perceive that, excuse our French, it’s been a long time since the two of them engaged in solid, wholesome bonking. And as things currently stand a prerequisite to achieving that goal is, even if only momentarily, to cast their all-consuming work lives to the side.

Columbia Nashville released this track on 17 June 2022 as the third single from “Growin’ Up”, the third studio album of Luke Combs’ career. 

Combs wrote “The Kind of Love We Make” with Dan Isbell, Reid Isbell and Jamie Davis, and he produced it with Jonathan Singleton and Chip Matthews.
