“I Finally Understand” by Charli XCX

What it seems that the singer is ‘finally understanding’ is that she is truly in love with her significant other. Charli XCX wrote this song while simultaneously being quarantined with her boyfriend. And the whole experience has drawn them closer. And as with other songs on her “How I’m Feeling Now” album, she expresses concern with fully giving her heart to another, recognizing that doing so also creates the possibility of it being broken.
