“Is It Insane” by Alicia Keys

The titular question (“Is It Insane”) revolves around the vocalist marveling the fact that she has found herself thoroughly smitten. And there appears to be two primary reasons why she is amazed after personally pierced by Cupid’s arrow. 

First is because she was one of those types of people who beforehand used to mock others “for being blinded by love”. And secondly, it seems as if the vocalist is relaying this message to the apple of her eye post-breakup. In other words, he has already moved on to another lady. Yet, as displayed in the bridge, Alicia is very far from getting over him. 

Such would be even further evidence that she has in fact been smitten in a way that previously she never thought possible. So what’s “insane” about the whole matter, all things considered, is that now the vocalist finds herself rather as being a classic example of a “fool” in love.

Release Date of “Is It Insane”

Alicia Keys on 10th of December, 2021 released her 8th studio album with the title, “Keys”. The song, “Is It Insane” happens to be the 5th track on the said album. 

The album was put out through a New York based music label, RCA Records.

For promotional purposes, two songs, “Lala (Unlocked)” and “Best of Me” were released on September 9 of 2021 and October 28 of 2021 respectively. They are the only singles to come off the album.
