Laura Pergolizzi, known professionally as LP, is an American singer and songwriter who began their career in the music industry in the early 2000s.

They were born on 18th March, 1981, in Long Island, New York. Before becoming a solo artist, LP made a name for themselves as a successful songwriter, co-writing hits for several high-profile artists including the likes of the following:

Despite all her success behind the scenes, LP aspired to perform their own music someday. Accordingly, they released their debut album, “Heart-Shaped Scar,” in 2001. For years, LP didn’t see significant success as a solo artist until the release of their third studio album in 2014 titled “Forever for Now”.

The album birthed a number of hits, including “Into the Wild.”

LP’s 2016 single, “Lost on You,” from their fourth studio album of the same name, became a massive hit in several countries around the world, earning them brilliant accolades.
