“OMG What’s Happening” by Ava Max
“OMG What’s Happening” is a 2020 single released by an American singer in the person of Ava Max.
OMG is an abbreviated colloquial phrase which spells out “oh my god”. This is basically an expression of shock on the part of the person who is saying it. And in this case that would be the narrator (Ava Max) herself.
Moreover, as indicated in the title, what has alerted her so is something which is “happening” in her life. And what has transpired is that she has fallen in love with the addressee. And this is a less-than-ideal situation for her, because the implication is that she idealizes herself as an independent woman who is not ensnared by matters of the heart. But also as revealed in the bridge, she has sort of a love/hate with her boo. So conclusively, it can be said that what really has Ava on edge is finding herself emotionally vulnerable to this individual.
“OMG What’s Happening” was issued as the seventh single from Ava’s debut album on 3 September 2020. Said album is entitled “Heaven & Hell”. And the label behind the music and album is Atlantic Records.
This track was produced and co-written by Cirkut, J. Gill and H. Solo. And the other co-writers are Sorana and Ava Max.
