“Popular Girls” by Jacob Sartorius

On “Popular Girls”, the way Jacob categorizes his romantic interest(s) is as a ‘popular girl’. And in the verses he speaks about two different ladies in that regard. The first one is depicted as someone who may be a famous person herself and the second like a girl who is well-to-do. And what they have in common is the singer being attracted to them. So he proceeds to shoot his shot and in both cases gets rejected. However, the ladies, in their own respective and you can say even selfish ways, recognize Sartorius’s celebrity.

Meanwhile the chorus would imply that Jacob already recognizes that “popular girls” have personality flaws. However, he does occasionally become smitten by one (as detailed in the verses).  And when such does occur, he is ready to commit all of his love to that lady.

FYI: The official release date of this song was 29th of September 2017.

It was issued out as a promotional single. However, at the time it was released, it wasn’t associated with any official Sartorius EP or studio album.
