In Naughty Boy’s “Undo”, the two singers (Calum Scott and Shenseea) take on the role of participants in a romance. And from the looks of things, Calum is a f*ck up. So this song is based on his desire to rectify the situation – or as he puts it to “undo” mistakes he has made. Calum’s longing to change is founded in him realizing just how much he loves Shenseea as well acknowledging the fact that she has truly given up on this relationship.
But Shenseea isn’t having it. She recognizes that she is prize catch and has always been loyal to Scott, despite his actions to the contrary. And at this time it does not look like her anger can be satiated. But this does not prevent Calum from making a heartfelt attempt at convincing her to be kind enough to grant him the opportunity to “undo” all of the unfavorable acts he has already committed.
