“You Got Me Like” by SHAED & Snny

SHAED and Snny’s “You Got Me Like” is a bonafide love song. The title is based on the special way the partners in the featured relationship, who are respectively portrayed by SHAED’s Chelsea Lee and collaborating vocalist Snny, make each other feel. And what it boils down to is that all of the metaphors used throughout point to the simple idea that they enjoy each other’s company very much.

Indeed despite being young, they are already lamenting they “can’t… always be this way” due to the inevitability of age. But that is not to say that they do not intend to love each other ‘for the rest of their days’. Rather let’s say that this song is idealizing a youthful, romantic feel. For instance, when the tune opens up with the two of them “lying in the grass drinking lemonade”, said expression is intended by SHAED to allude to the carefreeness of childhood.

Conclusion

So again, this track is mean to encapsulate the excitement between two young lovers due to their strong feelings for each other. But this is not to imply that the primary sentiment being relayed is one that is restricted to youth. Rather the singers are celebrating, in a general sort of way, how from a romantic perspective, their hearts are in possession of someone they truly care for. Or as the title implies, they bring out a unique quality in each other – indeed one that has them fantasizing about spending a lifetime and beyond together.
