“Baby Pluto” by Lil Uzi Vert
The title of this song (“Baby Pluto”) is actually the name of one of Lil Uzi Vert’s alter egos. And said persona also serves as the overall theme of the first third of his “Eternal Atake” album.
But in all honesty, the Baby Pluto character doesn’t read as if he is much different than the Uzi we all already know and love. Or rather, let’s say that this part of his persona is even more violent and sensually-inclined than the rapper is under normal circumstances. Stated otherwise yet again, this song has a special emphasis on women and violence. Indeed Baby Pluto goes about presenting himself as someone who isn’t afraid to bust a few shots in the direction of opps, especially those of the snitching variety. He is also always in the mood for intimacy shall we say, sometimes engaging in bedroom activity in unorthodox, outdoor settings.
There are also a number of allusions to his wealth. Indeed the vocalist states that he actually “made a million” dollars off of a mixtape. Fans have concluded that he is referencing one of earliest releases, “Lil Uzi vs. The World” (2016).
Conclusion
So again, this song is centered on money, women and certainly violence. Owing to this, it is actually the normal Lil Uzi Vert fare. But if there’s one characteristic of this track that makes it different from others he has dropped is that the rapper can be said to be going at it extra hard, especially in terms of violence and his affairs with women.

According to a tweet dated 2 March 2020, as theorized above Uzi perceives Baby Pluto as representing a harder side of his personality. Also according to the rapper, Baby Pluto has particular beef with women “that played” him.

This song came out, via Atlantic Records and Generation Now, on 6 March 2020. It is actually the first track on the playlist of Uzi’s second album, “Eternal Atake”. And just a day after its release, “Baby Pluto” ascended to number one on the Spotify US Top 50. In fact as of 7 March 2020, Uzi Vert held down 17 of the top 20 spots on Spotify’s US listing.
And the credit for the slappin’ nature of this song goes to its writers and producers. Uzi and Brandon Finessin penned the song. And Finessin is also one of its co-producers. He handled its production along with Bugz Ronin, Cousin Vinny, DP Beats and Ike Beatz.
As aforementioned, the first third of “Eternal Atake” is dedicated to the Baby Pluto alias. The second centers on another of the rapper’s personas known as Renji (sometimes referred to as Orenji). And the last third focuses on the original Lil Uzi Vert himself. And the first half of the album, including the entire Baby Pluto section, is themed on the rapper blasting off into space in a spaceship.
Short Film
And whereas there has not been an official music video to this track as of its release, there has been a “Baby Pluto” short film that came out a few days prior to promote “Eternal Atake”. And it is partially based on the aforementioned space-travel inspired theme of the album.
Said film is also the medium Lil Uzi Vert used to introduce Baby Pluto to the world.
