“Rager Teenager” by Troye Sivan

On “Rager Teenager”, Troye Sivan appears to be reminiscing on his teenage adventures and how he may still have it in him.

As is typical in most teenagers, he recalls that he often wanted to be free to hang out wherever he wanted, not sleep at home and sometimes even act a bit weird. He tells his older self how he felt more alive then and is surprised at how calm he has become as he matures.

The writer misses those moments and wants to relive those beautiful wild days of his life. And these were days where he could spend the night riding through town, singing aloud, dancing in a huge crowd or spending the night in the bed of his lover. He is intrigued by the amount of freedom he had during those days. And now all desperately wishes for those days as a means of escape from the realities of growing up.

“Hey, my little rager teenager
I’ve missed you around”
