“Biscotti In The Air” by Juice WRLD

“Biscotti in the Air” is a Juice WRLD song that fans of the rapper have been aware of since early 2019, when he first teased it. And by the looks of things, since at least 2021 there have been snippets in circulation, up until June 2023, where the entire song was said to have leaked, though those reports were apparently false.

You can view the lyrics, alternate interprations and sheet music for Juice WRLD's Biscotti In The Air* at Lyrics.org.

What has also been reported and verified (according to Genius) as the truth is that some people closely involved in Juice’s posthumous career indicated that “Biscotti in the Air” was going to be featured on “The Party Never Ends”, an album by the late rapper that’s supposed to be coming out a couple of months from now.

However, Lil Bibby, the mogul behind WRLD’s primarily label, Grade A Productions, rather stated that the fan favorite would not. Then, the day after he made that statement, the actual track was leaked, in full, via an unknown source. So as of this writing “Biscotti in the Air” has yet, if ever, to receive an official release date.

That said, we do know that producers of this track are Endz and Max Lord, with the former especially being a regular Juice WRLD collaborator, both of whom are also credited, alongside the vocalist, with writing the song.

Juice dropping hits from the Afterlife

Concerning the phenomena of Juice WRLD regularly coming out with new releases even up until now, some three and a half years after his death, we can apparently look forward to more of such into the future in some way, shape or form. For instance, Nick Mira, who has also been involved in Jarad’s career dating back to the time he was still alive, stated a couple of days ago that the emcee left behind “hundreds of rock songs in the vault of all different subgenres”.

And another musician associated with the rapper’s past, DJ Scheme, has pointed out, in a roundabout way, that another reason we keep seeing new Juice WRLD releases is because the demand is actually there.

Biscotti In The Air*

The Lyrics of “Biscotti In The Air”

Biscotti is a type of Italian pastry which is, let’s say not part of the average African-American diet. So Juice WRLD pointing out that he’s chillin’ while apparently enjoying some is probably meant to further point to the idea of the vocalist having exotic tastes.

That is to say that even though biscotti isn’t terribly expensive, it can be deemed an unusual food choice for a rapper from the ‘hood.  But with that being noted, biscotti also sounds a lot like the word biscuit.  And biscuit is an old school slang term for a gun.

That’s a viable way of interpreting that expression within the context of the chorus, in that Juice uses the passage, in part, to present as a don’t-give-AF gangsta drug dealer. Besides that and more in tune with the first “biscotti” theory, the rapper also notes his expensive, eye-catching sense of fashion. And some of the labels he mentions in that regard also aren’t traditional ‘hood fare, if you will.

But the primary subject of the song is in fact gun violence. It is upon those lines that the chorus commences, and the only actual verse of this track centers primarily on that topic. And of course, with this being rap music and all, Juice proceeds to present himself and his boys as real gunslingers, i.e. the types you wouldn’t logically want to get into beef with.

Furthermore, whereas WRLD is known to touch upon such subject matter, i.e. gun violence, regularly, it’s rare that we come across an entire song of his that revolves primarily around that subject.

“F–k your Glock, I need a gun with bigger t–s (Oh yeah)
Pop that 30, not that 10, I need a bigger itch (Oh yeah)
I got a job for you ho–s, finding a bigger bi–h (Oh yeah)
Tryna move that cocaine by the zip, hide it by your t–s (Oh yeah)
Young rich ni–as, we rare (Uh-huh)
All the h–s stop and stare (Uh-huh)
Louis V underwear (Uh-huh)
VVS solar flare (Uh-huh)
Eskimo polar bear (Uh-huh)
Designer I wear (Uh-huh)
F–k her over there (Uh-huh)
In my recliner chair, putting biscotti in the air”
