“Everybody’s Falling In Love” by LP
Three tracks into “Churches” it is obvious, at least during the early goings of the playlist, that this is an album heavily centered on romance. And within these first three tracks we are given three different perspectives.
On “When We Touch“, LP comes off as someone who is reeling after breaking up with the person she loves. On “Goodbye“, she rather sounds as if she has no regrets breaking up at all. And now in “Everybody’s Falling in Love”, it appears that the vocalist doesn’t have any lasting romantic expectations at all, rather looking forward to an experience like a fulfilling one-night stand with the addressee.
But the rest of the song doesn’t necessarily operate along those same lines. Sure, LP continues to sound like an advocate of carefree love. But more to the point, all lyrics considered, would be the concept of you can’t really predict being smitten.
So what the vocalist actually appears to be saying, in a roundabout way, is that if somebody comes along who catches her eye, and the feeling is mutual, then LP ain’t the type to front. And as far as the title and chorus goes it’s kinda true what she’s saying, that people in general tend to have sort of this head-first modus operandi when it comes to matters of the heart.
When was “Everybody’s Falling In Love” released?
“Everybody’s Falling In Love” is the third song on LP’s sixth studio album, “Churches”. The album was released on December 3 of 2021 by a Belgian record label which goes by the name PIAS.
“Churches” is made up of 15 songs and happens to be the singer’s sixth studio album.
