Halsey is the professional moniker of US singer and songwriter Ashley Nicolette Frangipane. She is an indigene of New Jersey, and was born during September of 1994.

Halsey’s entry into professional music started through social media, where she began uploading songs. She delved into a more professional career in 2014 after securing a record deal with Astralwerks Records.

As a signee of the above-named record company, Halsey began releasing more professional projects including her maiden album “Badlands”. This was issued in August 2015.
