Meaning of “Electricity” by Silk City and Dua Lipa

“Electricity” is a love song recorded and performed by the British-American musical duo or rather supergroup Silk City and English singer Dua Lipa. In the lyrics of this track, the narrator and singer (Dua Lipa) directly addresses her lover telling him how much she loves and adores him. She talks about the feeling she gets from her lover being so strong and powerful that even electricity can’t compare to it.

In the song’s pre-chorus, she alludes to her lover not treating himself well. Owing to that, she’d want to care for him, love him “differently” and give him “electricity”.
